February: A Month too Cold for Me

February was a good month for me, personally. I was able to celebrate birthdays in my family, make travel plans for the upcoming months, and I was able to play in the snow!

February is a big month for birthdays in my family. My mom’s birthday is in the first week of the month. We celebrated her birthday together as a family. After her birthday is my cousin’s, William, birthday. For his birthday, my family did the Escape Game in Nashville. It was so fun! You are “locked” in a room (you can get out at any time if you need to use the restroom, get claustrophobic, etc.) and you have to solve puzzles in order to enter a code to get out of the room. We had to find 84 ping pong balls and put them in a certain order to find the code to unlock the door. It was awesome! Following William’s birthday is my grandmother’s birthday. We went out to dinner with the family for that, too.

The month of February is a snowy month here in Tennessee. We had a full week off of school because we got several inches of snow! It was awesome to be able to play all day in the snow with my family. I loved sledding down the large hills. Even though it was awesome, it HATE the cold. I could only stay outside for about an hour and a half (on a good day) at a time. I did enjoy having an excuse to drink a lot of tea, though!

The upcoming months are going to be jam-packed! In March, I will be going to Kenya for Spring Break and I will be going to the NSSA East Coast Championships. In April, I will be going to the ESA Regional Championships. Finally, in May, I will be going to Aruba on my family vacation.

Summer is also coming up, but these next few months are already full! I cannot wait for March because there are big things happening! Stay tuned for updates in a couple of weeks about my trip to Kenya! Until next time, save me a wave!
