Meet Georgia...

Fifteen-year-old Georgia Cook has a dream to become a professional surfer.  She is well on her way having already competed at local, regional and national competitions. Currently ranked among the best in her her divisions, Georgia also believes God has a bigger plan for her.  Georgia committed her life to Christ at the age of eight and by nine, she was surfing competitively in the Eastern Surfing Association(ESA) and the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA). She has been ranked No. 1 in her local Georgia ESA District in Girls Short board and ranked top two in Women’s Long board for the last three years.  She has finished top 5 in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals as well as receiving the Iron Woman and Sportsmanship Awards.  Recently she competed in Huntington Beach, CA for the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) National Championships and placed 6th for boys and girls longboard. Although Georgia has a passion for surfing she understands that there is more to life than just surfing.  She is able to balance her studies and travel while maintaining a 4.5 GPA.  Georgia spends many hours spreading the stoke teaching others to surf as she volunteers for the YMCA Surf Camp, Surfers for Autism,  or helping teach private lessons.
