#Thankful

This month there was a birthday, two surf comps, and Thanksgiving. It was fun, busy, and awesome to be able to be with family and friends during the month.

snakeparty

November 10th is the birthday of my little sister Celia Tate. For her birthday, she had a reptile party. There were snakes, scorpions, and spiders in my house! She had so much fun so it was all worth it.

There were two surf competitions during the month. One of them was in Tybee and one was in Pensacola, Florida. There was an ESA comp at Tybee and it was really cold. I was miserable and freezing. It was really windy and the waves were a lot smaller than what they were predicted to be. I ended up finishing okay, but it was clear that I wasn’t used to surfing in a wetsuit...at least not lately.  In Pensacola, there was a NSSA comp and it was pretty fun. It was a lot warmer than Tybee, so I was happy about that. The waves were pretty fun and I am glad that I got to surf. I won Explorer Longboard and got second in Explorer Womens Longboard. It was a fun competition to compete in. I was thankful that I was able to go with some family friends because the rest of my family also had commitments that weekend too!  I am also thankful to have had my Hyperflex Wetsuit to keep me warm at both comps.

I love November because it is the month of Thanksgiving! And we LOVE to eat in my family!! Both sets of grandparents came over and we had a big meal together. It was good to get together to eat and give thanks for all that God has blessed us with. I am very blessed and thank God every day for His blessings and all the opportunities He has given me.

sadieruns

My sister Sadie is an amazing runner; she is really fast. This past weekend, she ran in the Footlocker race in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her team, Nashville Youth Athletics, was there, too. We all had so much fun and it was a really great experience.  Sadie ended up finishing 7th for her age division of 12 year old girls for the south! I’m glad we were all able to go and I am stoked that Sadie ran so well. She has had a great cross country season and I'm so proud of her!

Overall, November was a good month for me, especially because I was able to surf. I am excited to see what December brings. I also CANNOT WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!
